ALSO INCLUDED ARE DISCUSSIONS ON THE FOLLOWING: FRACTURE MECHANICS, CONTROLLING FRACTURE, THICKNESS EFFECTS, TEMPERATURE AND LOADING RATE, MATERIAL SELECTION, WELDING CONTROL, FATIGUE CRACK GROWTH, AND REDUNDANCY OF STRUCTURE.
