A STUDY OF THE POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS OF COMPLETED RESEARCH

THIS REPORT IS ESSENTIALLY A FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR CONSTRUCTING A TEST ROAD INCORPORATING THE RESULTS OF PREVIOUS RESEARCH. PREVIOUS RESEARCH IN THE STATISTICAL APPROACH TO QUALITY CONTROL HAS PROMPTED THE DESIRE TO CONSTRUCT A TEST ROAD WHICH CAN BE CONSIDERED AS A SATELLITE TO THE ONE CONDUCTED AT OTTAWA. THE GENERAL INTENT IS TO CORRELATE PAVEMENT DESIGN TO PERFORMANCE. THE REPORT CONTAINS THE PROPOSED TEST ROAD CRITERIA, THE TEST SECTIONS, CONTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS, EVALUATION OF TEST SECTIONS, AND ESTIMATED COSTS. /FHWA/
