BENKLEMEN BEAM DEFLECTION TEST PARAMETER INVESTIGATION ON ARKANSAS HIGHWAYS

EXTENSIVE BENKLEMAN BEAM MEASUREMENTS WERE TAKEN AT TEST SITES DURING THE SUMMERS OF 1967, 1968, AND 1969. NELMER RECORDER TRACES OF THESE DEFLECTIONS HAVE BEEN ANALYZED IN DETAIL AS TO AREA UNDER THE DEFLECTION TRACE AND LINEAR PARAMETERS. THOSE RELATIONSHIPS WHICH EXIST BETWEEN THESE PAVEMENT DEFLECTION PARAMETERS AS DETERMINED BY A STEPWISE MULTIPLE LINEAR REGRESSION TECHNIQUE ARE DISCUSSED. THIS ANALYSIS IS AN INTERMEDIATE STEP IN CORRELATION OF THESE PARAMETERS TO SERVICEABILITY AND DURABILITY OF ARKANSAS PAVEMENTS. /AUTHOR/
