TABULATION OF 24-HOUR DYNAMIC STRAIN DATA ON FOUR SIMPLE SPAN GIRDER-SLAB BRIDGE STRUCTURES

THE RESULTS ARE PRESENTED OF FIELD TESTS OF FOUR SIMPLY SUPPORTED WIDE FLANGE-SLAB HIGHWAY BRIDGE SPANS. THE STRAIN READINGS WERE TAKEN FOR A PERIOD OF I4 HOURS AND NEARBY WEIGHING STATIONS WERE USED TO OBTAIN THE WEIGHTS AND DIMENSIONS OF TRUCKS THAT CROSSED THE BRIDGES. ULTIMATELY THIS DATA WILL BE USED TO DEVELOP A LOADING HISTORY OF THE BRIDGES WHICH WILL THEN BE RELATED TO THE LIFE EXPECTANCY OF THE STRUCTURES. /BPR/
