MODEL STUDIES OF ENERGY DISSIPATORS FOR LARGE CULVERTS

BASED ON THE PREVIOUSLY DETERMINED BEST ARRANGEMENT OF THE PARTICULAR HOOK-TYPE ENERGY DISSIPATOR (SHAPE) AND THEIR LOCATIONS FROM THE CULVERT, AND SOME OF THE END SILL DIMENSIONS, FURTHER EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATIONS WERE MADE FOR THE EFFECT OF THE WIDTH OF THE HOOKS, THE FLARE ANGLE AND THE LENGTH OF THE DISSIPATOR BASIN, AND THE BEST HEIGHT OF THE END SILL ON THE EFFICIENCY IN REDUCING THE EXIT VELOCITY OF FLOW FROM THE CULVERT. /BPR/
