METHODS OF MANUFACTURING CEMENT ASPHALTIC CONCRETE /IN RUSSIAN/

THE PATENT DESCRIBES TWO METHODS OF MANUFACTURING CEMENT ASPHALTIC CONCRETE. THE FIRST CONSISTS IN MIXING WITH THE AGGREGATES A BITUMEN EMULSION AND PORTLAND CEMENT. TO INCREASE THE HEAT RESISTANCE, FROST RESISTANCE, AND MECHANICAL STRENGTH OF THE MATERIAL, THE BITUMEN EMULSION IS FIRST ADDED (7 TO 11 PER CENT OF THE TOTAL WEIGHT OF THE DRY INGREDIENTS), THEN THE PORTLAND CEMENT (7 TO 15 PER CENT OF THE WEIGHT OF THE DRY INGREDIENTS). IN THE SECOND METHOD DESCRIBED, TO ACCELERATE THE CURING OF CONCRETE, ACTIVATED FILLERS ARE ADDED TO THE AGGREGATES (6 TO 18 PER CENT OF THE WEIGHT OF THE DRY INGREDIENTS). /LCPC/RRL/
