INVESTIGATION OF PRESTRESSED REINFORCED CONCRETE FOR HIGHWAY BRIDGES

A GUIDE TO THE WORK ACCOMPLISHED ON THE USE OF PRESTRESSED CONCRETE FOR HIGHWAY BRIDGES IS PROVIDED. THE RESEARCH PROJECT WAS ACTIVE DURING 1951-1969 AND COVERED VARIOUS TOPICS RELATED TO FLEXURAL STRENGTH, SHEAR STRENGTH, TIME-DEPENDENT DEFORMATIONS, ANCHORAGE-ZONE STRESSES, AND BOND CHARACTERISTICS OF PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BEAMS.
