CONTRIBUTION TO THE CALCULATION OF THE DEFORMABILITY AND RESISTANCE TO CRACKING OF MONOLITHIC UNITS MADE WITH PRESTRESSED PRECAST CONCRETE ELEMENTS /IN RUSSIAN/

MONOLITHIC UNITS MADE OF PREFABRICATED ELEMENTS AND CAST- IN-SITU CONCRETE ELEMENTS ARE DISCUSSED. THE PREFABRICATED ELEMENTS PLAY A ROLE IN THE STRENGTH OF THE WHOLE UNIT AFTER COMPLETION AND ARE ALSO USED AS BEARING FORMWORK, THUS DESIGN, INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF THE APPARATUS ARE DEFORMATION AND ULTIMATE STRENGTH OF SUCH UNITS PRESENTS NUMEROUS PROBLEMS. T-BEAMS, CONSTRUCTED ACCORDING TO THE ABOVE METHOD WERE SUBJECTED TO BENDING. AN INTITIAL LOAD WAS APPLIED TO THE PREFABRICATED ELEMENTS BEFORE FINAL CONCRETING. THE FINAL UNIT WAS THEN LOADED TO RUPTURE POINT. FORMULAE DERIVED FROM TEST RESULTS ARE PRESENTED FOR CALCULATING DEFLECTIONS, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE SUCCESSIVE LOADING STAGES. A GRAPH SHOWS GOOD AGREEMENT BETWEEN CALCULATED DEFLECTIONS AND THOSE MEASURED IN TESTS. /LCPC/RRL/
