STRENGTH OF REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS WITHOUT WEB REINFORCEMENT IN COMBINED TORSION, SHEAR AND BENDING

THIRTY REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS WITHOUT WEB REINFORCEMENT WERE TESTED IN COMBINED TORSION, SHEAR, AND BENDING. IT WAS FOUND THAT THE STRENGTH IN COMBINED TORSION AND SHEAR WAS UNAFFECTED BY THE MAGNITUDE OF THE MOMENT-SHEAR RATIO, AND THAT INTERACTION BETWEEN TORSION AND SHEAR CAN BE REPRESENTED CLOSELY BY AN INTERACTION CURVE OF THE FORM OF AN ARC OF A CIRCLE. /AUTHOR/
