ORTHOTROPIC BRIDGE TECHNOLOGY GROWS

THE PAPINEAU-LEBLANC BRIDGE IS THE SIXTH ORTHOTROPIC BRIDGE TO BE BUILT IN CANADA. IT WILL SPAN THE RIVIERE DES PRAIRIES ON THE NORTH SHORE OF MONTREAL ISLAND AND WILL LINK PAPINEAU ST. IN THE EAST END OF MONTREAL WITH LEBLANC BLVD. IN LAVAL. THE STRUCTURE WILL INCORPORATE NUMEROUS INNOVATIONS, AS DO OTHER BRIDGES WITH THE REVOLUTIONARY ORTHOTROPIC DESIGN CONCEPT. A BRIEF DESCRIPTION IS GIVEN OF THE BRIDGE DESIGN AND THE TECHNIQUES TO BE USED IN ITS CONSTRUCTION. /CGRA/
