ADHESION-SOME FACTORS OF INTEREST IN ITS CONTROL /IN SPANISH/

THE FACTORS WHICH INFLUENCE ADHESION ARE DESCRIBED AND THE WAYS OF MEASURING IT ARE REVIEWED. WITH RESPECT TO THE N.L.T. 166/63 METHOD, ITS INSENSITIVITY TO THE CHEMICAL NATURE OF THE AGGREGATE IS EXPLAINED, AS WELL AS THE VARIATIONS DUE TO THE TIME OF IMMERSION, THE PERCENTAGE OF BITUMEN AND THE ABILITY OF THE OPERATOR. WITH THE RIEDEL- WEBER METHOD, THE ERRORS CAUSED BY THE CONTAMINATION OF THE SOLUTIONS OF SODIUM CARBONATE ARE SHOWN, AND THE IMPORTANCE OF THE PRESENCE OF POWDER IN THE AGGREGATE. THE FACT THAT NONE OF THE TWO METHODS IS REPRESENTATIVE OF REAL ROAD CONDITIONS IS EMPHASIZED. /LTE/LCPC/RRL/
