FORECASTING TRAVEL PATTERNS
The report covers the different trip distribution models and the selection of the gravity model for use by the PSGC. It gives a comprehensive record of the calibration and use of the gravity model to forecast travel patterns in the Central Puget Sound Region. Future trends in trip length are analyzed for the Region, and comparisons are presented with several other urban regions of the U.S. The report contains tabulations of input and calibration data for the gravity model.
