RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF ASPHALT-AGGREGATE COMPOSITION

AN ATTEMPT HAS BEEN MADE TO INTERRELATE THE VARIOUS PROPERTIES OF ASPHALT AND ASPHALTIC CONCRETE. THE REPORT REPRESENTS A SURVEY OF WORK COMPLETED IN THE FIELD OF VISCOELASTIC PROPERTIES OF ASPHALT AGGREGATE SYSTEMS TO JANUARY, 1962. VARIOUS RESEARCH DATA ON BITUMINOUS CONCRETE ARE ALSO SUMMARIZED. IT IS EVIDENT THAT TECHNIQUES FOR FULLY DESCRIBING VISCOELASTIC PROPERTIES OF ASPHALT- AGGREGATE MIX BEHAVIOR ARE STILL ONLY IN THE DEVELOPMENTAL STAGE.
