THE APPLICABILITY OF RESULTS FROM THE AASHO ROAD TEST TO THE DETERMINATION OF PAVEMENT COSTS (IN GERMAN)

IN ORDER TO DISCUSS THE APPLICABILITY OF THE RESULTS OF THE AASHO ROAD TEST AND THE TESTS MADE IN CONNECTION WITH IT, THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF THESE TESTS ARE REPEATED. THE AASHO ROAD TEST IS PRINCIPALLY A FRACTURE TESTS, AND DOES NOT GIVE AN INDICATION AS TO THE COSTS OF ROAD MAINTENANCE AS DEPENDENT UPON TYPE AND AXLE LOAD OF VEHICLES. ITS RESULTS CANNOT BE A BASIS FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF BOUNDARY COST LIMITS FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF DIFFERENT VEHICLE CATEGORIES. /AUTHOR/
