GUIDE FOR AIR POLLUTION CONTROL OF HOT MIX ASPHALT PLANTS

THE NATIONAL ASPHALT ASSOCIATION RECOGNIZES THE OVER-ALL AIR POLLUTION PROBLEM AND THE FACT THAT THEIR INDUSTRY IS A CONTRIBUTOR TO THIS PROBLEM. THE ASSOCIATION RECOMMENDS THAT ALL OWNERS AND OPERATORS OF HOT MIX ASPHALT PLANTS ESTABLISH GOOD HOUSEKEEPING PROCEDURES FOR MAINTAINING THEIR OPERATIONS WITHIN REASONABLE AIR POLLUTION STANDARDS. SUGGESTIONS HAVE BEEN PREPARED AS A GUIDE IN THE SELECTION AND PROPER USE OF EQUIPMENT TO MEET THE VARYING DEGREES OF REGULATORY AIR POLLUTION CONTROL WITH WHICH THE OWNERS OR OPERATORS MAY BE FACED, NOW OR IN THE FUTURE. /AUTHOR/
