THE OPTIMIZATION OF A FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT SYSTEM USING LINEAR ELASTICITY

THIS REPORT INTEGRATES LINEAR ELASTIC THEORY INTO THE CURRENT VERSION OF THE TEXAS FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT DESIGN SYSTEM IN ORDER TO GIVE AN OBJECTIVE ANALYSIS BASE FOR THE STRUCTURE FEASIBLILITY DETERMINATION BASED ON THE INTERNAL STRESSES AND SURFACE DEFLECTIONS CAUSED BY A DUAL-WHEEL LOAD OF 9,000-LB.
