STRUCTURE VERIFICATION OF BUS PASSENGER SEATS
The purpose of the program was to evaluate the requirements of proposed rulemaking for structural verification of bus passenger seats from a compliance test standpoint. Task 1 of the program was concerned with a structural design of a bus passenger seat to minimize passenger injury on impact. This was accomplished by a concurrent design and development test effort. Task 2 was the performance of testing to verify compliance of the seat design to the established structural load criteria.
