FATIGUE TESTS OF HYBRID PLATE GIRDERS

THE TEST RESULTS OF SIXTY-THREE HYBRID GIRDERS ARE PRESENTED. THE GIRDERS WERE SUBJECTED TO THREE DIFFERENT FATIGUE LOADING CONDITIONS: (1) BENDING, (2) SHEAR, AND (3) COMBINED BENDING AND SHEAR. THE RESULTS OF EACH LOADING CONDITION ARE DISCUSSED IN SEPARATE SECTIONS. THE FATIGUE TESTS DATA WERE ANALYZED STATISTICALLY. BASED ON THE ANALYSIS OF AVAILABLE DATA, THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE PARAMETERS WERE ESTABLISHED. THE CORRELATION STUDY OF STATISTICAL ANALYSIS AIDED IN DISTINGUISHING THE SIGNIFICANT PARAMETERS TO CONSIDER, AND IN RECOMMENDING THE LIMITING VALUES FOR THOSE PARAMETERS. /AUTHOR/
