THE TRADITIONAL THEORY OF PRESTRESSED CONCRETE FOR POST-TENSIONED BEAMS IGNORES THE FACT THAT FORCES MUST EXIST FOR THE SYSTEM TO BE STATICALLY CORRECT. THIS BOOK PROPOSES A NEW THEORY FOR THE ELASTIC ANALYSIS OF BEAMS, WHICH TAKES ACCOUNT OF THESE FORCES INCLUDING THE LATERAL FORCES WHICH MUST BE APPLIED IF A TENDON DEVIATES FROM A STRAIGHT LINE.
