BURNHAMTHORPE BRIDGE USES ALL-CANADIAN POST-TENSIONING METHOD

THE FIRST APPLICATION OF A NEW CANADIAN-PATENTED METHOD OF POST-TENSIONING HAS JUST BEEN COMPLETED FOR THE NEW BRIDGE CARRYING BURNHAMTHORPE ROAD OVER THE WIDENED HIGHWAY 27 IN TORONTO'S WEST END. THE SAME METHOD IS CURRENTLY BEING USED ON SEVERAL PROJECTS WHICH THE ONTARIO DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS PLANS TO USE FOR A SERIES OF CONCRETE AND TENSIONING TESTS OVER A PERIOD OF YEARS. /RATAOC/
