APLICACION DE HORMIGONES CON ARIDO LIGERO A LA AMPLIACION DE TABLEROS DE PUENTES DE BOVEDAS DE FABRICA

LIGHT WEIGHT CONCRETE APPLICATION TO THE WIDENING OF MASONRY ARCH BRIDGES

En este trabajo se presenta una aplicacion del empleo de hormigones con arido ligero a la ampliacion transversal de los puentes arco de fabrica. Los cambios ocurridos en las condiciones de explotacion de estas estructuras obligan a, por una parte, cuantificar su seguridad frente a las cargas de la normativa actual, y, por otra parte, a adecuar su seccion transversal a las exigencias actuales. En primer lugar, se describen los condicionantes particulares que rodean a estas estructuras y al proyecto de ampliacion en si, para pasar, posteriormente, a describir la solucion adoptada resaltando las ventajas del empleo de hormigones ligeros. Por ultimo, se senala que el hilo conductor de todo el proceso ha sido la busqueda de la eficiencia y aprovechamiento estructural del puente existente. (A). Resumen en ingles: This paper summarize a lightweight concrete application to the cross widening of masonry arch bridges (the "Widening Project"). Changes occurred under the exploitation conditions of these structures force to, for one hand, quantize it security in front of the loads under the current standard, and for the other hand, they obligate to adequate its cross section to the present requirements. Firstly, particular conditions of the Widening Project and around these structures are describes, for afterwards report the adopted solution that bounces the advantages of using lightweight concrete. Finally, it is pointed out that the guidance of the whole process it has been the searching for the efficiency and the structural application of the existing bridge. (A).
