STUDY OF THE HYDRATION OF CEMENT CONTAINING A HIGHLY DISPERSED MONOMINERAL FILLER

THE KINETICS OF EARLY HYDRATION OF CEMENT CONTAINING HIGHLY DISPERSED MONOMINERAL FILLERS (QUARTZ, CALCITE, MICROCLINE, SILICA GLASS) WERE STUDIED BY OPTICAL MICROSCOPY, DIFFERENTIAL CALORIMETRY, AND PLASTOMETRY. PECULIARITIES OF HYDRATE FORMATION ARE EXPLAINED BY THE STRUCTURE AND SURFACE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MATERIALS. THE MONOMINERAL FILLERS ACCELERATE HYDRATION IN THAT THEY SHIFT THE FORMATION OF INDIVIDUAL HYDRATE PHASES TO THE EARLIER PERIODS. /AUTHOR/
