COMPUTER-ASSISTED DESIGN IN DRAFT PROJETS FOR ROAD BRIDGES WITH A CAISSON SECTION CONSTRUCTED BY MEANS OF SUCCESIVE CANTILEVERS

DISENO ASISTIDO POR ORDENADOR PARA EL ANTEPROYECTO DE PUENTES DE CARRETERA CON SECCION CAJON CONSTRUIDOS POR VOLADIZOS SUCESIVOS

Using basic data for bridges, a complete draft project is drawn up (decks, supports, piers, abutments and foundations) in sufficient detail so that a budget can be prepared for the work: from this information, it will be possible to compare alternatives from the hypotheses obtained (load trains, materials, etc). Deck solutions are used in caisson sections constructed following the cantilever advance method.
