SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND CRITERIA DEVELOPMENT FOR MARITIME TRANSPORTATION PROBLEMS

Major factors used in ship systems engineering problems are discussed, as are implications of various economic and operational criteria on total system and component design; relations between criteria selection and requirements are discussed from point of view of their effect on marine transportation systems design.
