STATISTICAL METHOD OF SELECTING THE OPTIMUM MIX-DESIGN OF POLYESTER CONCRETE

A STATISTICAL METHOD FOR SELECTING THE OPTIMUM DESIGN OF POLYESTER CONCRETE IS PRESENTED. PRISMATIC SAMPLES CONTAINING CRUSHED GRANITE, SAND, GRANITE FILLER AND POLYESTER RESIN BINDER ARE PREPARED. HALF OF THEM ARE SUBJECTED TO BENDING TENSILE STRESSES AND THE OTHER TO COMPRESSIVE STRESSES. A MATHEMATICAL MODEL IS DERIVED FROM THE TEST RESULTS, AND STATISTICAL CALCULATIONS AND GRAPHS ARE PROPOSED FOR COMPUTING THE OPTIMUM MIX-DESIGN CORRESPONDING TO GIVEN STRENGTH VALUES. /TRRL/
