CONDITION AND DURABILITY OF CONCRETE SURFACINGS /IN RUSSIAN/

OBSERVATIONS WERE CARRIED OUT OVER THREE YEARS IN THE USSR ON A LARGE NUMBER OF CONCRETE SURFACINGS SUPPORTING VARYING TRAFFIC VOLUMES. DATA ON THE CONSTRUCTION, STRENGTH, AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE ROADS ARE PRESENTED. THE OBSERVATIONS RELATED TO THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF DAMAGE (CRACKING, BREAKING AWAY AT SIDES AND CORNERS) WHICH CAN OCCUR IN RIGID PAVEMENT. AN ASSESSMENT MARK BETWEEN 1 AND 5 WAS GIVEN TO EACH SECTION OF ROAD.
