THE EFFICIENT USE OF CEMENT IN STEAM-CURED MORTAR AND CONCRETE /IN RUSSIAN/

A DESCRIPTION WAS MADE OF TESTS ON CEMENT SAMPLES WHICH WERE PREPARED FROM CLINKER CONTAINING DIFFERENT QUANTITIES OF C3S AND C3A AND VARIED IN THEIR DIATOMITE AND SLAG CONTENT. THESE SAMPLES WERE STEAM-CURED. TEST RESULTS SHOW THAT A PROPORTION OF 5 TO 10 PERCENT OF AN ACTIVE MINERAL ADMIXTURE IN ALUMINA CEMENT DOES NOT REDUCE THE ABSOLUTE VALUE OF THE STRENGTH INDEX OF SAMPLES PREVIOUSLY SUBJECTED TO STEAM-CURING. SLAG-CEMENT PREPARED FROM FINELY CRUSHED CLINKER CONTAINING C3A HAS A GREATER STRENGTH THAN PURE PORTLAND CEMENT AND A HIGHER RESISTANCE TO FROST. /LCPC/RRL/
