Monorail-Fahrschienen. Loesungen in Stahl fuer attraktive Verkehrssysteme / Monorail guideways. Solutions in steel for attractive transportation systems
(A) ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: How structural steel engineering can provide innovative solutions satisfying the growing desire for mobility is illustrated based on the example of a Monorail system developed in Switzerland. Thanks to its steel structure this Monorail system has hardly been topped in its attractiveness and flexibility during the past few decades. Also in future, systems similar to such a Monorail system can contribute in an excellent way to fulfill the demands for state-of-the-art urban transportation systems. (A)
