URBAN RUNOFF CHARACTERISTICS

DETAILED INFORMATION ON WATERSHED CHARACTERISTICS DATA ON RUNOFF QUANTITY AND QUALITY HAVE BEEN COMPILED FROM A ONE YEAR STUDY OF A COMBINED SEWER WATERSHED OF APPROXIMATELY 2380 ACRES IN CINCINNATI, OHIO. COLLECTION OF THESE DATA IS PLANNED TO CONTINUE OVER A THREE YEAR PERIOD. THE INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO TEST AND REFINE THE STORM WATER MANAGEMENT MODEL, DEVELOPED FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY, WATER QUALITY OFFICE (DRAFT FINAL REPORT DATED SEPTEMBER 1970). IN ADDITION, WORK HAS BEEN DONE ON URBAN RUNOFF MATHEMATICAL MODELS. INFORMATION ON THESE MODELS IS INCLUDED IN THIS REPORT. IT IS INTENDED THAT THESE MODELS WILL BE IMPROVED AND VERIFIED AS ADDITIONAL WATERSHED DATA BECOME AVAILABLE.
