The importance of access-to-patient-period in the emergency service

Vor dem Hintergrund der Tatsache, dass der Verkehrsunfall an der Strasse liegend nur noch 1/10 der Notfalleinsaetze ausmacht, ist eine neue Definition der Hilfsfrist erforderlich, die die Zugangszeit zum Patienten mit circa 50 Sekunden mit einbeziehen muss. Ziel der organisatorischen Planung muss ein moeglichst kurzes therapiefreies Intervall sein. (A) ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: Considering that road accidents count for merely 10 percent of all emergencies it seems appropriate to re-define the so-called "period-to-help" that takes into account the "access-to-patient" period that is on average 50 seconds. The primary goal of further planning must be to keep the interval without sufficient therapy as short as possible. (A)
