GROUND-DATA PROCESSING BEFORE OPTIMIZATION OF THE VERTICAL ALIGNMENT: PROGRAM PRELUDE

A SUITE OF PROGRAMS IS BEING DEVELOPED TO INDICATE THE CHEAPEST ALIGNMENT OF NEW ORADS. THIS REPORT DESCRIBES A PROGRAM PRELUDE THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED TO CHECK GROUND DATA AND GENERATE SIMPLIFIED CROSS-SECTIONS OF THE GROUND ALONG THE ROAD LINE. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES THE PROCESSED GROUND DATA IN A FORM SUITABLE FOR USE WITH THE PROGRAMS WHICH ARE USED TO GENERATE AND OPTIMIZE VERTICAL ALIGNMENTS. /AUTHOR/
