Talbruecke Zahme Gera. Spannbetonrahmenbruecke mit Y-Pfeilern / Valley bridge Zahme Gera. Prestressed concrete frame bridge with Y-shaped piers

Mit ihren kuehnen Y-Pfeilern ist die Talbruecke ueber die Zahme Gera sowohl aesthetisch als auch ingenieurmaessig eine der anspruchsvollsten Bruecken im Verlauf der Autobahn A 71/A 73 durch den Thueringer Wald. Dies zeigt sich nicht nur bei der Planung und Bemessung sondern auch in der Ausfuehrung. Aufgrund der Topographie und Geologie des Baugrundes waren unterschiedliche Gruendungsformen fuer Widerlager, Pfeiler sowie Lehrgerueste erforderlich. Durch die aussergewoehnliche Form der Pfeiler musste zu deren Herstellung ein voellig neues Schalungssystem entwickelt und konstruiert werden. Zudem forderte das Bauwerk eine Reihe weiterer anspruchsvoller Baubehelfe wie Pfeilerabspannung und Justiereinrichtung fuer den Lueckenschluss. (A) ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: As regards aesthetics and feat of engineering, the valley bridge over the Zahme Gera with its bold Y-piers is one of the most pretentious bridges in the course of the A 71/A 73 motorway through the Thueringer Wald region. This is shown not only during planning and design work, but also in the stage of construction. Topography and geology of the soil required different types of foundation to abutments, piers and falsework. Due to the extraordinary shape of the piers, a completely new formwork system had to be developed and constructed to allow their erection. Furthermore, the structure made necessary a variety of pretentious auxiliary constructions such as anchoring and adjusting equipment to close the span. (A)
