Zur Vermeidung von Rissen in Stahlbetonbauwerken / On the avoidance of crack formation in reinforced concrete structures

Anhand des Neubaus einer Leitmauer sowie der Instandsetzung zweier Strassenbauwerke wird der Einsatz von Hochmodul-Polymerfasern zur Verhinderung der Bildung von Schwindrissen beschrieben. Es wird gezeigt, dass geeignete betontechnologische Massnahmen kombiniert mit dem richtigen Einsatz von Hochmodulfasern eine zuverlaessige Methode sind, Stahlbetonbauwerke ohne Schwindrissbildung zu erstellen. Die bereits frueher veroeffentlichten Ergebnisse einer numerischen Simulation der Rissbildung werden durch die Ergebnisse der durchgefuehrten Rissaufnahmen bestaetigt. (A) ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: In this contribution it is outlined, how shrinkage crack formation can be avoided by applying high modulus polymer fibers. Two examples have been selected: (a) the construction of a highway bridge guide wall and (b) the repair of two infrastructural facilities. It is shown, that the combination of concrete technology and the proper application of high modulus polymer fibers are fundamental conditions for the building of crackfree concrete structures. The analysis of the crack formation of the structures mentioned above is compared with results of numerical investigations presented in an earlier publication. The self-consistency of the data derived from both analyses can he demonstrated. (A)
