EXAMINATION OF PORTLAND CEMENT CLINKER BY ELECTRON PROBE MICRO-ANALYSIS

THE METHOD OF PREPARATION OF A SAMPLE FOR MICROPROBE ANALYSIS AND THE FACILITIES WHICH THE PROBE CAN OFFER IS DESCRIBED. PHOTOGRAPHS ARE SHOWN OF THE SAME REGION OF THE CLINKER SAMPLE EXAMINED BY OPTICAL REFLECTION MICROSCOPY, BY BACK-SCATTERED ELECTRONS AND BY SECONDARY X-RAY EMISSION FROM THE ELEMENTS CA, SI, FE, AI, MG, & TI.
