EXPERIMENTAL NOMOGRAM DESCRIBING THE MECHANICAL BEHAVIOR OF ASPHALTS AS A FUNCTION OF TEMPERATURE

A NOMOGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR REPRESENTING THE RESULTS OF STANDARD LABORATORY TESTS ON ASPHALTS AS A FUNCTION OF TEMPERATURE. THIS NOMOGRAM IS USED TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN DIFFERENT TYPES OF ASPHALT TO PROVIDE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR BEHAVIOR; TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE PRODUCTS WILL SATISFY CERTAIN PEFORMANCE CRITERIA; TO CHECK THE COMPATIBILITY OF TEST DATA IN ORDER TO ELIMINATE MEANINGLESS RESULTS; AND TO EVALUATE THE DATA USED IN THE VAN DER POEL NOMOGRAM GIVING THE RIGIDITY OF ASPHALTS. /AUTHOR/
