CONTINUOUS CONTROL OF BITUMINOUS MIXES DURING PRODUCTION: USE OF THE BITUMEN FLOW METER (IN FRENCH)

CONTROL DURING PRODUCTION MUST BE CONDUCTED BY A PERMANENT SURVEILLANCE OF THE DIFFERENT MECHANISMS AND COMPONENTS WHICH PLAY A PART IN THE GRANULOMETRIC COMPOSITION, THE BINDER CONTENT, AND THE TEMPERATURE OF THE CONSTITUTENTS. THIS SURVEILLANCE MUST RELATE PARTICULARLY TO THOSE MECHANISMS AND COMPONENTS WHICH HAVE A DIRECT AND IMMEDIATE INFLUENCE ON THESE FACTORS. WORK SO FAR CARRIED OUT HAS MAINLY CONCERNED THE CONTINUOUS CONTROL OF BINDER CONTENT .A METHOD HAS BEEN DEVELOPED BASED ON THE USE OF A BITUMEN FLOW METER AND ON WEIGHING THE TRUCKS. THE ARTICLE DESCRIBES THE GENERAL OUTLINE OF THE METHOD, THE VARIOUS INFORMATION THAT HAS TO BE EXTRACTED, THE USE MADE OF THIS INFORMATION, THE APPARATUS AT PRESENT USED, AND PREDICTABLE PERFORMANCES. A DESCRIPTION IS ALSO GIVEN OF A METHOD OF ASSESSING THE HOMOGENEITY OF THE MIX, BASED ON THE ANALYSIS OF SAMPLES. /AUTHOR/
