ALTA VELOCIDAD: NUEVAS TENDENCIAS EN EL EMPUJE DE PUENTES

HIGH SPEED: NEW TRENDS IN BRIDGE LAUCHING

Las nuevas lineas de Ferrocarril de Alta Velocidad actualmente en construccion imponen una serie de condicionantes funcionales y medioambientales que se traducen en importantes requisitos en su trazado, tanto en alzado como en planta. Ello implica la construccion de un gran numero de puentes, en general de gran longitud y altura de pilas, donde el proceso de empuje encuentra sus condiciones idoneas de aplicacion. Es por ello que este sistema (puesto a punto a finales del siglo XIX) debe ser revisado y actualizado, recogiendo los ultimos avances de la tecnologia disponible. (A). Resumen en ingles: A large number of functional and environmental factors have to be taken into account when constructing new high speed train lines. These factors notably affect both the final route of the line and the elevation of the track. This then requires the construction ofa large number of bridges, which are generally of long span and high pier height, and which tend to suit erection by launching procedures. As such, these launching systems (which dote back to the end of the 19th century) should be revised and updated to make use ol all the latest advances in technology. (A).
