BITUMEN AND ASPHALTIC CONCRETE /IN FRENCH/

DETAILS ARE GIVEN OF AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE VARIOUS TYPES OF BITUMEN WHICH HAVE BEEN USED IN ASPHALTIC CONCRETE LAID SINCE 1958. THE PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF THE BINDERS ARE STUDIED AND THE ASPHALTIC CONCRETES EXAMINED FOR CRACKING, SURFACE WEAR, SURFACE TEXTURE AND ROUGHNESS. TEST RESULTS SHOW DIFFERENCES IN ROUGHNESS AND HOW IT CHANGES WITH TIME; THE RESULTS ARE DISCUSSED. /A/LCPC/FESR/RRL/
