A LABORATORY STUDY OF THE USE OF LIMESTONE DUST, CALCINED SHALE AND ASBESTOS AS MINERAL FILLERS IN HIGH QUALITY- WELL GRADED ASPHALTIC CONCRETE IS REPORTED. STANDARD MARSHALL MIX DESIGN LABORATORY TECHNIQUES AND TEST VALUES ARE REPORTED. SPECIAL REVELING AND BENDING TESTS WERE ALSO PERFORMED. ON THE BASIS OF THE LABORATORY TESTS. IT IS CONCLUDED THAT THE ORDER OF PREFERENCE FOR MINERAL FILLERS IN EDMONTON IS FIRST CALCINED SHALE, SECOND LIMESTONE DUST, AND LASTLY ASBESTOS. /CGRA/
