ULTRASONIC VIBRATION IN CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY

THE PROPERTIES OF ULTRASONIC VIBRATIONS, WHICH MAY BE USED IN DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESSES, HAVE BEEN REVIEWED IN THE PRESENT BOOK. THE PHENOMENA EMERGING UNDER THE EFFECT OF ULTRASONIC VIBRATIONS HAVE BEEN ANALYZED AND ANALYTICAL RELATIONSHIPS ESTABLISHING THE PHYSICAL NATURE OF THE ULTRASONIC EFFECT ON SOLIDS, LIQUIDS, AND GASES HAVE BEEN DERIVED. THE RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTS OBTAINED DURING ULTRASONIC TREATMENT OF CEMENT PASTE HAVE BEEN DESCRIBED, AND IT HAS BEEN PROVED THAT THE CEMENT PASTE COMPACTS UNDER THE EFFECT OF THE FORCES OF ACOUSTIC COAGULATION. IT WAS ESTABLISHED THAT RADIATION PRESSURE EMERGING IN THE ACOUSTIC FIELD IN THE THIXOTROPIC DILUTION ZONE OF CEMENT PASTE WAS THE DECISIVE FACTOR OF STRUCTURE FORMATION. /AUTHOR/
