ANALYTICAL STUDY ON COLC-ROLL-FORMING PROCESS

IN ORDER TO THEORETICALLY CONFIRM THE RESULT OF PREVIOUSLY REPORTED STUDY OF THE CROSS-SECTIONAL PROFILE OF A PRODUCT FORMED IN ROLL-FORMING PROCESS, THE STRESS DISTRIBUTION IN THE SHEET BETWEEN FORMING ROLLS WAS ANALYZED AND CALCULATED UNDER INCREMENTAL STRAIN AND TOTAL STRAIN THEORIES WHEN SUCH REDUNDANT STRAINS AS LONGITUDINAL BENDING AND UNIFORM TENSILE AND COMPRESSIVE STRAINS IN LONGITUDINAL, TRANSVERSAL AND THICKNESS DIRECTIONS WERE GIVEN TO THE TRANSVERSAL BENDING DEFORMATION OF THE SHEET. TO THEORETICALLY INVESTIGATE THE EFFECTS OF STRAIN-PATH WHICH DEFORMS EACH PART OF A SHEET, AND THOSE OF REDUNDANT DEFORMATIONS ON THE TRANSVERSAL BENDING DEFORMATION, VIEWED IN THE LIGHT OF THE STRAIN INCREMENTAL THEORY, THE STRESS DISTRIBUTION AND TRANSITION OCCURRING TO THE SHEET IN ROLL-FORMING PROCESS WERE PROGRESSIVELY AND CONSISTENLY OBTAINED BY ESTIMATING THE STRESS COMPONENTS FROM THE TEST RESULTS OF BEHAVIORS OF STRAIN COMPONENTS OCCURRING TO IT IN ACTUAL PROCESS.
