Problem oder Problemloeser?: die Rolle des OePNV in der aktuellen Umweltdebatte / Having a problem or solving a problem?

Weniger die Reduzierung von Emissionen bei Linienbussen als vielmehr ein moeglichst hoher Marktanteil des Oeffentlichen Personennahverkehrs (OePNV) ist der beste Beitrag zum Umweltschutz. Der Artikel will daher zu einer offensiven Diskussion um Investitionen in einen attraktiven und effizienten OePNV ermuntern. Das Streben nach Wirtschaftlichkeit, auch bei der Antriebstechnik, ist dabei ein Beitrag zur Umweltqualitaet, weil so bei gegebenen Budgets moeglichst viel OePNV-Leistung ermoeglicht wird. ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: Not the reduction of emissions of the regular buses will be a solution but rather getting a big foot in the market for the public transit would be the best contribution for environmental protection. For this reason, the article will encourage the reader to discuss any investments concerning an attractive and efficient public transit. Striving for efficiency even with the drive engineering is part of environmental protection as the efficiency of the public transit will be optimised according to the budget available. (A)
