Systemanalytische Betrachtung des intermodalen Verkehrs / System analytical analysis of the intermodal traffic

Beim Transport hochwertiger Gueter ist die Schiene wenig attraktiv. Marktwachstum findet aber im Wesentlichen gerade bei hochwertigen Guetern statt. Auf der Basis einer Systemanalyse wird der Versuch unternommen, den Zusammenhang zwischen den einzelnen Faktoren und Rahmenbedingungen im intermodalen Verkehr aufzuzeigen und jene Treiber zu identifizieren, die einen tragfaehigen intermodalen Transport in der Zukunft gewaehrleisten. Dazu sind Innovationen erforderlich, um die Staerken der Schiene auszuschoepfen und die Schwaechen zu kompensieren. Der Fokus muss auf logistische Systemloesungen und auf die Optimierung der Schnittstellen zwischen Schiene und Strasse gelegt werden. Die Innovationen muessen zudem auf die spezifischen Beduerfnissen des Marktes ausgerichtet sein. ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: Rail and intermodal transport today suffer from the low participation in high value goods transport, the area where the main transport growth effects are expected. Based on a system analysis, an attempt is shown to elaborate the coherence between the different factors and identify the drivers to improve the situation, and then to set the bases to establish sustainable intermodal transport for the future. To gain a sustainable position measures have to be taken to improve the productivity of the system and especially to innovate the interface between road and rail to adapt to the requirements of high value goods transport. Besides environmental factors innovations partcularly important in the level of deregulation and harmonization as well as the slot pricing policy especially. But innovation requires attracting the industry to withdraw from their market abstinence and to invest in this market.(A)
