OUR RAILROADS IN PRINT - A BIBLIOGRAPHY

This bibliography - for school use and for the general public - is compiled and distributed by the Association of American Railroads solely as an accommodation to persons who are interested in railroad transportation literature. Those who wish to increase their knowledge of railroads will find listed herein many of the best books and stories that have been written on this fascinating subject. A list of periodicals relating to railroads is also included for the convenience of those who are interested in current progress and developments. Teachers and students may find the list useful in connection with transportation study in the classroom. The items have been grouped to assist in selecting works appropriate to special interests. Titles of works about individual railroad companies, too numerous to include here, may be obtained from local libraries, historical societies, or by writing to this Association. Only titles which are now believed to be in print or which are likely to be found in libraries are included in the list. Out-of-print publications of continuing reference value are indicated by an asterisk (*).
