PUNCHING SHEAR RESISTANCE ACCORDING TO THE CEB MODEL CODE

This paper reviews the basis for the current CEB provisions governing the punching shear strength of slabs as laid down in the CEB Bulletin d'Information, No. 111, which contains a draft of an international Model Code for structures in concrete. The Model Code is still under preparation, which means that changes might take place before the final edition. It is attempted to indicate directions into which changes are likely to occur. However, the basic ideas are felt to be generally accepted to such a degree, that an outline of these ideas can be given with sufficient confidence. /Author/
