GEODOTIC CONTROL SPECIFICATIONS APPLIED TO CADASTRAL PROBLEMS

THE NEW TECHNOLOGY HAS MADE POSSIBLE STRENGTHENING OF STANDARDS OF ACCURACY AS USED IN GEODETIC CONTROL SURRVEYS; LIKEWISE, THE RESULTANT APPLICATION IN THE FORM OF COORDINATE CONTROL HAS DIRECTED ATTENTION TO BOUNDARY DEFINITION, POLITICAL, CADASTRAL, AND PHYSICAL. WHAT ARE THE QUESTIONS RAISED, AND WHOSE STANDARDS SHALL BE USED? ARE THERE LEGAL PRECEDENTS, STATUTES, OR RULES OF THUMB WHICH PREVAIL? SUFFICIENT EXAMPLES FROM CURRENT PRACTICE, EXISTING KNOWN LAWS, AND AVAILABLE PUBLICATIONS WILL BE CITED SHOWING WHERE ANSWERS MAY OR MAY NOT BE TOO APPARENT. SUGGESTIONS WILL BE PRESENTED WHICH SHOULD EVOKE RESPONSE FROM THE CONTROL SURVEY ORIENTATED MEMBERSHIP OF ACSM. INVITATIONS TO ALL CONCERNED IN ADJUNCT PROFESSIONS AND FIELD SUCH AS LAW, PHOTOGRAMMETRY, AND CARTOGRAPHY WILL BE TENDERED. /AUTHOR/
