DEVELOPMENT OF PHOTOGRAMMETRIC METHODS FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY OPERATIONS IN TEXAS

STUDIES HAVE BEEN MADE BY THE TEXAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT TO ASCERTAIN THE FEASIBILITY OF USING DATA PHOTOGRAMMETRICALLY OBTAINED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF RIGHT-OF-WAY MAPS AND FIELD NOTES FOR DEEDS. COST ESTIMATES AND COMPARISONS WERE MADE TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THE PROJECT STATUS WITH REGARD TO THE AMOUNT OF SURVEY WORK COMPLETED BY FIELD METHODS. A PILOT PROJECT WAS CONDUCTED TO USE PHOTOGRAMMETRIC METHODS TO DEVELOP A PROJECT FOR A SECTION ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 20 IN DALLAS, TEXAS. SPECIAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS, PHOTOGRAMMETRIC MAPS, AND MOSAICS ARE DESCRIBED.
