TRAINING OF INSPECTORS AND SUPERVISORS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

THE GROWING NEED FOR TRAINED INSPECTORS AND SUPERVISORS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IS INDICATED. THE PAPER DESCRIBES THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COURSES IN THE PROVINCE OF ONTARIO TO TRAIN THESE MUCH NEEDED TECHNICIANS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY. THE FULL-TIME COURSE IS GIVEN IN SECONDARY TECHNICAL SCHOOLS /GRADE 11/ AND IS DESIGNED TO TRAIN STUDENTS FOR POSITIONS AS CONCRETE INSPECTORS, STEEL INSPECTORS, SOIL AND GRADING INSPECTORS, INSTRUMENT MEN, RODMEN, ESTIMATORS, PURCHASING AGENTS, SALES TECHNICIANS, SPECIFICATION WRITERS OR EXPEDITORS.
