CARTO-MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS IS A SYNOPTIC MAPPING AND INVESTIGATION OF PATTERNS AND PROCESSES OF THE ACCIDENTS. IT IS ACHIEVED FIRST BY MAPPING THE ACCIDENT COUNTS BY POINT SYMBOLS DIFFERENTIATED BY COLORS SHOWING TIME DIFFERENCE; AND SECOND BY ANALYZING THE DOT MAPS BY MEANS OF A STOCHASTIC MODEL, CALLED K-CLUSTER ANALYSIS, AND SUBSEQUENTLY REGIONALIZING THE TRAFFIC ACCIDENT REGIONS INTO THREE SUB-AREAS: NO ACCIDENT ZONES, RANDOM ACCIDENT ZONES, AND CLUSTERINGS OF ACCIDENT ZONES. /AUTHOR/
