Fractal Method Based on Quantitative Evaluation of Asphalt Pavement Anti-slide Performance
Discrete exsertion size function was integrated to research the microcosmic random distribution characteristics of asphalt mixture surface concave convex. According to statistical self-similarity principle, the discrete exsertion size calculation formula and calculated method of the gradation fractal dimension value were deduced. Using this calculation formula, discrete exsertion size function values of AK-16A and open-graded friction course £¨OGFC£© with the different gradation pavements were calculated. The anti-slide coefficient of asphalt mixture surface was also confirmed using pendulum type frictiograph test of track board. Results show that the microscopic concave convex fractal number of asphalt mixture surface is different with the different asphalt mixture gradations. The larger the fractal number of asphalt mixture and the discrete exsertion size function index are, the better the anti-slide performance is. Contrarily, the pavement anti-slide performance is poor. There is a monotonic increased consistent relativity between the fractal number of microscopic concave convex and the anti-slide performance of asphalt mixture surfaces.
